Project Background
The workstation movement of materials on the assembly line facilitates connection with the feeding machine, flipping machine, and punching equipment.
Scheme Overview
The project utilizes multiple motors deployed on the same track, each carrying a set of cylinders to control material movement. Through interaction signals, the motors avoid each other in a rational manner to ensure the safe transfer of materials. A handheld touch screen is provided for on-site operation.
System Configuration
PLC: FGm-64MT-AC + FGs-E16X*2 + FGs-E16R
HMI: SK-T070XS
Process Flow
- Reset Process:
The reset process starts with the reset of the cylinders and vacuum system, followed by the reset of the linear motors. First, reset motor #1 and #2 sequentially, then #5 and #4 sequentially. Once #2 and #4 are reset, motor #3 will reset. - Manual Process: After resetting, use manual operation and hand cranking to move motor #1 to the material loading machine outlet position and record its position. Then, grab the material, move motor #1 to the first processing point, record its position, drop the material, and move motor #1 to a position where it will not interfere with the action of motor #2. Afterward, motors #2, #3, #4, and #5 will sequentially grab materials, recording the positions they need to move to. Note that motor #2 needs to record an additional position for waste material disposal.
- Automatic Process:After automatic startup, motors #1, #2, #3, #4, and #5 will, upon completion of all preparations and receiving a signal indicating the punching machine has completed its task (for the first startup, the punching machine completion signal is not necessary; the start button is sufficient), move to their respective material pickup positions to begin material collection. Once the material is collected, they will move to their respective unloading positions and then return to the safety positions (motor #2, while moving from the pickup to the unloading position, will pass through an additional waste material disposal position). After returning to the reset position, the punching machine will be sent a drive signal, and it will wait for the punching machine completion signal before starting a new process cycle. Motor #1, after completing the material collection, will send a signal to start the material loading machine, and after unloading, will send a signal to start the flipping machine.
