1. Application Background
The integrated water supply unit is primarily utilized within water supply systems. In traditional systems, the operation of water pumps not only increases electricity consumption but also leads to significant water wastage. Previously, this equipment employed a control system based on electrical components and frequency inverters, which was not only inconvenient to maintain but also required on-site personnel to monitor its operation.
2. Product Overview
The integrated water supply unit employs the Samkoon EA070B HMI and FGRB-C8X8T-2/2 PLC, along with three 0.75 kW frequency inverters, one flow meter, and one temperature controller to achieve automated control of the equipment.
3. Solution Advantages
After the equipment upgrade, the system utilizes Samkoon HMI and PLC control, offering a straightforward and user-friendly interface. This setup enables remote monitoring of equipment status without the need for on-site personnel supervision.
By replacing traditional water pumps with an integrated system, it not only allows for adjustable pump speeds but also reduces electricity consumption and enhances water resource utilization efficiency.

4.1 Integrated Water Supply Operating Modes
The integrated water supply system operates in two modes: one-duty-one-standby and two-duty-one-standby.
4.1.1 One-duty-one-standby: Set the inverter’s operating frequency and PID feedback. Upon initiating operation, the inverter runs according to the configured parameters, with inverters 1 and 2 alternating usage.
4.1.2 Two-duty-one-standby: This mode employs a cyclic soft-start control for two pumps. Initially, pump 1 operates in variable frequency mode. If it reaches 50 Hz and the measured pressure remains below the setpoint after a delay (configurable), pump 1 switches to fixed frequency mode. Subsequently, pump 2 starts in variable frequency mode. If the system becomes overpressurized and pump 2’s frequency drops to 0 Hz, after a delay, and the pressure remains high, pump 1’s fixed frequency operation ceases, allowing pump 2 to adjust the pressure via variable frequency control to maintain system stability.
4.2 The touch screen collects instantaneous flow data from the flow meter every minute and displays it using historical curves.
4.3 Users can choose between configurations with or without temperature monitoring:
With temperature monitoring: If the indoor temperature drops below 0°C, an alarm is triggered and sent to a mobile device via an app to prevent pipe freezing. Without temperature monitoring: No low-temperature alarms are generated.
